Buying a mattress can be one of the more unpleasant shopping experiences we face.

In the “good old days” it was hard enough trying to compare inner spring mattresses as every store seemed to have their own version of a particular manufacturer’s model. In case you didn’t know this is done intentionally to make it harder to do any comparison shopping.

Now not only do we still have inner spring mattresses to pick from we also have waterbeds, foam and air mattress choices which makes it even harder (in my opinion) to pick a mattress that you can be happy with.

I can speak from personal experience as my wife and I tried several inner spring mattresses and a nationally known air bed before settling on the Tempurpedic mattress and even then it took several months to get used to.

I created this site to help you avoid what I went through by giving you as much relevant information on mattresses and other sleeping options like futons so you can be well prepared before you even “hit the stores”.
